Great food here…I love this place but some of the worst service ever. Nothing like having the server throw the menus on your table and walk away. Than she came back to give us a pen to write down our order and again she literally threw the pen at barely staying on the table. Wouldn’t even talk to us. Apparently we were bothering her by wanting to eat at their restaurant. We walked out without ordering and haven’t been back since. Food is great but bad service will trump.

Really surprised by the relatively high rating. To be fair there are not too many alternatives in the area so that is probably working in their favour. Food is okay but the quality is suspect at times. The service flat out sucks but I also don’t go in expecting much. If you are in the area and you need some pho in a pinch this is your place.

I have been to this Vietnamese restaurant a few times now over the years…They have a patio in warmer weather. Lovely to watch the world go by. Super nice to sit out with a beer…But be wary of the bees as apparently they like pho too!I usually get the Special combo beef rice noodle soup…the one with everything. Their broth is tasty, not overly salty. Not the most amazing but definitely pretty good. Cold rolls are ok, not exciting though. Spring rolls are tasty and usually not too greasy.Washrooms are located in the basement and have been relatively clean every time I have been there. Service is good for the most part, sometimes a tad on the slow side. Friendly enough though. Prices are ok, definitely not on the cheaper side.A definite must-try if you live in the area. I will be back of in the neighbourhood.

Good bang for ur buck! Nothing fancy but a nice family restaurant. Great Pho and pad Thai! Service is not congenial but one doesn’t expect much in this place

There were 6 of us at Pho Huong for lunch on Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation, so getting seated wasn’t a problem, but the restaurant did fill up quickly shortly after we arrived. Service starts with customers filling out their own menu selections on a little form. Therefore the servers don’t have to engage the customers in too many conversations. I understand the efficiency in this, but it is a bit impersonal. There was one service error, when they brought out 5 of our 6 main dishes, but seemed to forget the 6th until we told one of the servers. We started out with Spring Rolls, which were a little bit different that the usual. These had some kind of tempura batter on top of the wrapper, which gave the roll an added little crunch. SWMBO chose Beef Pad Thai, which was pleasant, but nothing special. I had the Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and Vermicelli. Again nice, but nothing special. The shrimp had a bit of seasoning, but the vermicelli had nothing. Yes, you could pour on some fish sauce to add some flavour, but I guess my expectations were a bit different.

DO NOT ORDER HERE! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY AS A LONG TIME CUSTOMER!My wife and I have eaten here and ordered delivery on many occasions. The last time my wife’s dish contained nuts AND shrimp, both of which she is allergic to. We did not have time that evening to have another order delivered and upon calling the restaurant we were told, reluctantly, that we would have a credit for the soup only (they first offered a cheap appetizer as a credit) redeemable the next time we ordered. We were given no conditions on the credit.Tonight we ordered take out (one month later) and over the phone the individual on the other end again, reluctantly agreed to providing a discount for the order (certainly a requisite for ordering from them again). I drove all the way to the restaurant to be told by the same individual that they would not be honoring any discount…after he had told me minutes before on the phone that he would! During this process I stood at the till while the clerk ignored me and when he did finally acknowledge me he was unmistakably rude (he actually cursed at me at one point even though I was maintaining my composure). At one time I was literally pushed out of the way by another server, unbelievable. They would rather throw out the food than honour the twice promised discount! We have a newborn at home so mealtime is a game of minutes so needless to say after two botched meals and this kind of treatment I would STRONGLY suggest one of the other capable Vietnamese restaurants in the area.I would love to have the management contact me to discuss.Sincerely,Derek

We ordered grilled pork with rice and spring rolls with vermicelli. The rice came out very quickly and it tasted awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was the sauce because it seemed to have too much sugar in it. Also it turned out somehow the cook wasn’t informed about our vermicelli order but it was served shortly afterwards. Overall it was a decent dining experience.
