    I’ve been here twice. Once for lunch on a Saturday and NYE. Both times were pretty full but the service was on point. The fish was fresh, well portioned and the rice wasn’t complete crap like other places. The menu selection isn’t huge but what they serve, they do it well. This is definitely my go to place when I’m not right downtown.

    I have given myself a day to cool off from an infuriating experience. I am writing this with a cool head and a sharp memory. Yesterday my wife and our 8 week baby decided to go to Sushi Place at Bloor and Keele. It is our closest all you can eat and it has been a treat we indulge in nearly once a week. To say we were regulars would be a fair assessment. Yesterday the service was dismal. The restaurant was nowhere near capacity yet it in the span of 1.5 hours we received 2 cans of pop and one order of rolls. None of my wifes order arrived. With a new baby we had no choice to leave as 99% of our order had not been served (with not so much as an update) we felt it was fair to leave and call it a one off on bad service. They stopped us at the door and requested that we pay full price (two adult all you can eat bills). I argued that this was ridiculous because we had not been served our food. They continued to argue and threatened to call the police. In the end I was able to negotiate an itemized cost of what we ate (under $10 worth of food). We left still hungry and annoyed that our loyalty as patrons was worth less than ten bucks. We will never eat at this restaurant again being threatened with legal action on a meal we never received was an embarrassing and pathetic low for customer service.

    Worst experience ever! not a family friendly resturant!. I went to this Sushi restaurant at 1730 Bloor St. W, with my friend along with our 3 daughters ages 7 – 9. The first disappointment was when we told the waitress that the adults would like to order all you can eat, however, the children don’t eat that much so we will order for them 6 sushi’s each. She said that the rule is either the entire table orders all you can eat or the entire table orders from the menu… So we decided to order all you can eat for all of us and ended up having to pay $13.99 for each child instead of $5.00 each, so that we can enjoy our all you can eat which by the way costs $20.00 for each adult. Now we often go to all you can eat sushi restaurants but we have never had as much bad experience anywhere as we did in this restaurant. The service was beyond very bad… they were very slow to bring us our order and they even ignored us when we asked for more ginger and tissue. Our first order took about 30 minutes and our second order took more than 45 minutes. Nagging them for our second order didn’t help at all, we and especially the kids were still very hungry. We regretted not ordering more the first time.. we didn’t expect this to happen. Anyhow, so we asked the waitress to get for us anything fast while we waited for them to bring the second order of sushi. So we ordered 4 small pieces of beef rib teriyaki… we asked for 4 small pieces… she got us 8. At that time we didn’t mind because we were all hungry! even though the meat had a lot of fat around it, we ate it all of it anyway, however, we removed all the fat off… oh and there is that one piece that fell onto the table that we didn’t eat. They finally ended up bringing over the second sushi order…. we ate most of it but we left 8 pieces as we were full from the beef! 4 of the pieces didn’t taste good at all anyway!!….Then came the bill…. the waitress said if we don’t eat these 8 pieces… she will charge us 3 dollars extra for each person. We weren’t about to force feed ourselves as we have already ate way passed our limits. We argued that this is not our fault because they took a long time to bring us our order… she brought her manager whom after 4 minutes I have been trying to explain the situation to, ended up not understanding me because he didn’t speak any English at all!!! she had to translate… on top of all this he has the dignity to lie to our faces and say that we didn’t eat any of the beef cause he took the plate back with his own two hands and it was full!!….finally after a lot of pointless arguing we ended up paying $3… but guess who didn’t get a tip??!! Very bad service.. we wasted so many hours in this restaurant and ended up going home late and unhappy! The food was not bad though so if you decide you want to go there….. make sure you have nothing to do after!!!
