Service is amazing and accommodating. Food has been amazing up until our last visit where it was STILL great, but a little bland and they didn’t have some of their previously most desired options on the menu. The drink selection is small but amazing and they are open to anything you want made. The $5 wine on Mondays is awesome, perfect for a ladies night 🙂
Keep walking. With so many places popping up on the Wellington/Richmond strip, it’s hard to recommend this place. We went twice in this past month, the first time just the two of us for a drink and a bite. The food was good if a little limited (most meals heated up behind the bar in an oven) but it felt like our waitress was doing us a favour by bringing drinks. Another guy was milling around drinking his Bridgehead and every time they turned the dishwasher on the lights would flicker erratically. We went again last weekend, this time with a larger group for a quick drink after dinner somewhere else, and the strangest thing happened; our server would only take three drink orders at a time for our group of nine! Then as it turned out, two of the beers on offer were not actually available and one persons drink was forgotten completely. There are too many other options around here to warrant another visit.
First time and last time. First time to this place, never going back. Cocktail was not very good. Wine was expensive (a glass of Malbec $14.50!). Service was cold and snobby. We all left disappointed and won’t go back.
Thumbs down. A let down. Slightly pretentious about mediocre food. atmosphere ok, nice decor but unfittingly underlit and slow service. Ordered 2 drinks and 3 plates. overly salty, salmon wasn’t fresh, brisket was greasy, sauces were heavy. None of the plates were that good. Won’t go back.
Service was excellent but food was average. We had 5 plates that we shared:- Caprese salad : basic caprese and nothing special- Salmon dip: Good but nothing you couldn’t make at home in 5 minutes- Brisket: very tasty but good grief was it ever greasy!!!- Pork sliders: completely tasteless- Beef tenderloin tacos: there were more onions than beef. It was basically an onion and beef stew in a taco. It really needed a pop of freshness. Did not enjoy this one at all.Also I’m not sure if it was the grease from the brisket or something else they were cooking but our clothes reeked of cooking oil/grease when we got home. Very unpleasant….good thing we weren’t going anywhere else after because we would have had to change it was so bad.We probably won’t be going back unfortunately.
Great Place!!. I’ve gone two weeks in a row with my boyfriend and we’ve had an amazing time. We both work in the industry, and can often be very over critical of restaurants. However, we don’t have a bad thing to say. The wine and food are delicious, they have a nice comfortable atmosphere and the service is excellent!We will be returning soon with a few friends for a nice evening of sipping wine and munching on fantastic small plates!
Pleasantly Pleasing. I really loved the atmosphere inside this place; very laid back and chill, intimate – great for a date or a casual evening with friends. If you’re into tapas, this place offers a small but excellent tasting selection. The prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only wish would be for a greater beer selection. Will definitely return!
