The food was expensive; but, delicious…the reason I am giving it a 3 rating is because the day I ate there, the bathroom wasn’t open to the public. I HAD TO WALK A BLOCK TO A COFFEE SHOP, AND BUY A COFFEE IN ORDER TO USE THEIR BATHROOM. When I complained to the owner I was told the bathroom is closed every day between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for one of theirgroups. Iwas not given an apology.I reported them to Public Health…who assured metheir not having a public washroom is against the law…I will never eat there again.
The veggie kraut sandwich with sunflower pate is great on a hot summers day when you want to eat something light. The dahl served with quinoa is also tasty. Given the freshness and amount of time it takes to prepare all of the vegetables, the prices are understandable. I just wish there was more variety though, like more daily or weekend specials.
I love this place, and my love for their vegan cheesecake will never die, but it’s really quite pricey….. I understand the added cost of a raw/vegan restaurant but this place will always just be a ‘treat’ bc of the price.
Amazing raw desserts! Got 2 kinds of raw cake (mint chocolate cheezecake and carrot cake) and a raw almond butter cup. I wasn’t really a big fan of the carrot cake, something about the taste and texture just wasn’t for me, it really just tasted like wet shredded carrots with a tiny pinch of spices added, nothing that I care to eat again. The other two desserts were AMAZING though, very rich and delicious, although pretty pricey. I believe the cakes were somewhere around $7.50 for a small slice? I love that they are making healthy vegan food more accessible, though, and I wish them all the best! I can’t wait to try some of their lunch options!
Overpriced small portions. Not sure who gave this a single dollar sign, but expect to empty your bank account to eat here. Prices are insanely high for what you get. Sadly the quality and service are subpar as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
Finally! Just what Ottawa NEEDS. What a great great place. Food is fantastic, healthy and satisfying. Simply Raw is just that. A simple way to get healthy with help and support. Thank you Natasha and staff .
LOVE simply raw. My favourite destination for fresh pressed juices and raw meals to go.Friendly staff and great service.I just wish they opened up earlier in the morning 🙂
