We bought muffins here, and they were very dry and tasteless. This was our third try – we always end up being disappointed. Don’t spend your money here. It’s way overpriced for what you get. And plus the service is consistently poor. We will not be back.
Cakes are over priced. Nothing really special for the price you are paying. Cup cakes are nothing special and tastes like something you can bake from the cake mix box.On top of that worst service ever. I bought a cake for my step daughter’s bday and one of the kids in the park knocked it over(while still in the box) and I took it back just to get it neaten up, and they refused. What kind of a service is that? I would recommend Holland’s cake and shake. Friendly service and yummy mini cakes as an alternative to cup cakes taste like something outta a cake mix box.
Overpriced mediocrity.While I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, I do like the occasional cavity-inducing treat. Being right at the Holland/Wellington intersection, I always saw it and decided to give it a try. While I stepped in, I noticed there wasn’t much seating. It didn’t matter then as I was planning on getting something to go, but sometimes I like to sit down and relish my food in the place I bought it. While looking around, I didn’t see much I liked, but since I was there, I thought I might as well buy something and decided on half a dozen cupcakes. Since I bought them around 8 months ago, I forgot the exact price, but I was nonetheless dismayed over the price compared to what I saw. I got home and decided to share some cupcakes with my sisters and overall, we weren’t impressed. They tasted like days old cupcakes you find at the grocery store. To call it mediocre would give it too much credit. And back to the price. It costs around the same as most high end bakeries, but the quality just wasn’t there. If you want good cupcakes, go to the cupcake lounge or even the bakery section at Loblaws which in my opinion has the best cupcakes in the city.
Yes to cheesecake, no to cupcakes. While I enjoyed the chocolate cheesecake with the caramel on top (excellent caramel), the cupcakes have a weird aftertaste that spoiled the experience. I will not get cupcakes again. Even the frosting tasted weird!
Great experience!!. I went to the cake shop for my first te today because i had some time to kill. The staff were soooooo nice. Everything was delicious and the hot chocolate was perfdct to warm me up on such a chilly day. Will definitely be back!!!
