We spent two nights in Huntsville recently. We ate an evening meal and also breakfast the next day at the Bear’s Den. The restaurant is clean, the service is prompt and the food excellent. Prices were reasonable.
This new location is bigger and more convenient. Large parking area, close to highway. The staff are always friendly. We especially enjoy going for the family style breakfasts. They also have Gluten-Free solutions and have recently started a weekend buffet.
First off I will start by saying the waitress was amazing. That was all that was amazing. The buffet was how I would expect prison food to taste. Tasteless. Stale. Mush. The ordered fresh food was just as bad. Never again.
The food was good, my husband had sweet and sour pork and he said it was delicious, I had the fish and chips. Everything was very good. They need more staff to accommodate large groups. Overall everything was good.
Ate for the second time yesterday, pleasant staff, great food. No wait, will definitely stop in again.
