Unanticipated gem. We found ourselves in Innisfil at 12:30 p.m., cruising the main street, Innisfil Beach Road, looking for a place to grab a bite and kill some time before dropping in unexpectedly on some friends. Wheeling into the Crossroads Plaza we saw several eating establishments, and chose PastaPlus. Good choice! Both lasagna and porchetta on a ciabetta bun were specials of the day, and we both chose the latter. This is a pulled pork smothered in a special sauce and covered with melted mozzarella on one style of Italian bun. Mmmm! Delicious!This is a family-owned and run operation and both owners, Anthony and Nancy Abate, were on duty, along with line cook Michelle and a co-op intern. Anthony learned Sicilian cuisine at the knees of his Nonni, and the offerings on the menu carry the love of family and food through to the customers.Highly recommended.
