We were told it would be a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes the Manager came to tell us that they had some reservations call in so they would no longer have a table for us tonight so we should leave. The couples on date night were assured their tables would be ready, but after patiently waiting for 30minutes we were asked to leave. So we did and we will never return!
We have been frequenting a few of the other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in Barrie and have had mixed experiences. This was our first visit to Sakana House, and we were delighted with the service and food quality for the price. In fact, writing this review reminds me of the delicious salmon sushi and sashimi. We tried many of the dishes and enjoyed all except the sushi pizza, which had a little too much mayonnaise for our taste. The servers were very friendly, and they got our order perfect. Excellent new sushi spot in Barrie… Finally! All sushi is fresh and there is a huge variety of maki as well. Loved the red dragon rolls and super fresh red tuna nigiri. The hot food is excellent as well and they have shrimp dumplings, the wifes favourite! Service is quick and very friendly, we will definitely be back. Thanks Sakana House.
Large menu variety and the best All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurant in Barrie. Presentation is top notch, the atmosphere is fabulous (all that natural light), prices are competitive, the service is friendly and fairly efficient. It gets very busy on weekends so make sure you come early for dinner or make reservations.
We’ve had Sushi in many place and this is our favourite! Always fresh, wide selection for all you can eat, friendly efficient workers, clean and modern. Had delivery for the first time today and could not believe all the food we received and quickly. You will not be disappointed try it out next time you are going for sushi!
