Had a great Dinner here on Friday night. Nice selection of sharing plates and service was excellent. Not cheap but we did indulge in some cocktails and wine!We will be back very soon.
This is an outstanding restaurant. Their food and cocktails are unique and always exceptionally prepared. Their staff is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly personable. My husband and I love coming here for special occasions and are never disappointed. Yes its a bit pricey, but we feel it is well worth it for the quality of the food and experience.
Fantastic sharing plates options. Been there multiple times and its always been great. Service is always excellent as well. It’s great for those who need a glutten free meal.
Been here twice in recent months and the service and food were excellent both times. Incredible attention to detail, presentation, and the staff and owner are friendly and fun. Have recommended this place to everyone I know. Can’t wait to go back!
Great meal to start our Friday movie night.Started with a pint of Broadhead and one of Kichissippi.Ordered Calamari Fritti, Bone marrow with escargot, & Grilled calamari. To Jay all dishes were good, but Dee had problem with the marrow dish feeling the escargot could be done much better than what was offered and offered feedback to our attentive waiter, who seemed to genuinely care.Moments later when we ordered Dark Chocolate mousse for dessert, a serving of Sticky Toffee Pudding came along on the house. Both dessert dishes were just fabulously done! They certainly knew their ace to make a customer come around.
Not as good as others suggest. This is a small intimate charming place. The service was great though the noise level was quite high and it was hard to talk to each other. We knew it was a Tapas style ‘ sharing’ restaurant. We ate here before about a year ago and decided to come back. But We were quite disappointed. First there was no Canadian wine on the menu. First Disappointment . ( The California Chardonnay though was excellent). The waitress suggested we order 3 dishes so we did: a tempura style sweet potato fries with a Harissa dip (10$). A beef dish: beef shoulder with cauliflower and a celeriac and turnip dip 24$, and a dish of fish tacos. (12$ for two). They suggested and added one extra taco so we could share. It came to 15$. What also disappointed us was the price and the size of the beef dish. Yes it is an appetizer to be shared . But for 24$ in most places you can get a decent size steak. This was at most 4 oz and while the sides were really tasty they were a surprisingly small amount. We each got one small cauliflower floweret and a tablespoon of veggie sauce . The beef itself was indeed a braised dish with a fair amount of connective tissue. While it was quite tender and tasty it was not a great texture. The sweet potato was excellent and the size would be a perfect appetizer for one. We each got 3-4 sticks of the potato though we noted that we ran out of the sauce which was very tasty. The fish tacos : this was a slightly larger appetizer size since we ordered 3 instead of two small tacos; well, the taco shell was half soft and half hard. And the fish itself was again quite scant. The flavor though was excellent. If three people share three appetizers they will each get the equivalent of one appetizer. That is what happened. Perhaps we should have ordered one or two more dishes to share and then we would have left having felt a bit more satisfied. I’d recommend to the management to suggest 2 dishes per person. The cost: with one glass of wine came to approx 30$ per person plus tip. Three women watching our waistline: We left not quite hungry but not satisfied either.
Great little Gem in Kanata. Food was excellent with a solid small menu (yes) with a nice assortment of Cocktails. The warm olives and Duck wings are excellent. Service was amazing, friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.
