We went for late lunch. Food was good. Service was quick. My husband had a shrimp sub and it was delicious. There was garlic sauce on it so be warned. But it was so good. I had a poutine and I was super surprised how good it was. My in laws had the fish and chips and a fish burger. Big portions. We dont go to Kanata often but when we do we may stop back!
It was not a good experience from the moment we walked in. I was refused a deal that was on their website and also the menu pricing on the website. The coleslaw looked a day or 2 old. The employees all seemed confused even though there was almost 1 server per table. I went my entire meal with out a drink refill. As for the actual fish and chips well the chips were very average and the fish while it was nicely battered and cooked it was also the smallest piece of fish I have ever received at a restaurant.
Edit: this place has gone drastically downhill in the past year and a half. I was here for the all you can eat fish and chips which was the best before the giant dive downwards. The fish portions were slashed into tiny pieces and it took much longer than usual for extra prices to come. The fish batter was over cooked and the slaw was probably made days before. To top it off, the price was raised several dollars despite portion cuts. I can definitely say I will not be back.
Not a good first impression. Went to Digby’s for some fried clams. Was seated at the back. Wasn’t pleased with the sleeping staff in the booth behind us. My hankering for clams was soon diminished as they were over really cooked. Won’t be back any time soon.
Food was good; the portions could be a bit bigger (The salad wasn’t too good and my fianc agreed), the service was good and our food came very fast (We were a table of 10) so I was very surprised. Overall was good.
This will be our final visit to Digby’s. Although the server was pleasant, he had no power to correct the situation. The fish was not fresh, was pitiful on portion size, ant the vegetables were greasy and limp. All in all, a disappointing evening.
