It’s not bad, but it’s nothing special either. I came here for brunch on a Sunday and ordered the breakfast poutine – it was essentially home fries in hollandaise sauce with some toast on the side (choice between white or brown). Although you can never go wrong with a good hollandaise sauce, I expected a bit more with a breakfast poutine – a lot of places usually include eggs to spice things up (Ever After’s on Rideau actually does a really good breakfast poutine in this style). This was my fault though since I only glanced at the menu quickly before ordering and didn’t really look at the fine details. The meal itself was alright for what it was – the toast was slightly burnt and some of the staff were friendly and cheerful, while the others looked like they really didn’t want to be there. Better places for brunch are out there. I’d skip this one next time.
Great little place! Awesome staff morning noon or night. Daily specials and big portions. Probably the best breakfast in Ottawa, and their lunch is great too. Catch the game or take the bus to the game from this pub.
Our Neighbourhood local. We frequent Hurley’s once to twice a week. Their breakfasts are great, fresh fruit, excellent service from Tammi,(Blonde hair) & Tammy (brown hair). If you want breakfast on a weekend – this is the place to go.! The rest of the menu is also delicious, and the rest of the staff will ensure great service in the evenings too! Katie, Kaitlyn, ……
Disgruntal server. I visted this location on saturday, a older woman served me. I ordered beef taco’s and she brought out beef nacho’s when I told her this wasn’t what I ordered she immediately was annoyed I even saw her roll her eyes when she walked away. My friend went to the washroom and hear her complaining about me in the back area and it wasn’t even my fault. The taco’s did eventually come and they were great but she was still unpleasant, not smiling and clearly angry. I will not be returning to that location, which is unfortunate because it’s the closest restaurant to my house and the tacos were great. If you want a bitter server go there, she obviously is miserable to work there.
Disappointing. Wish it was still broadways. Ever since the new owners took over the food and service hasn’t been the same. I used to go for breakfast every Sunday. They would serve breakfast until 2 when it was broadways. Now it’s until 1. Won’t be going back.
Breakfast hours changing Mar 31. They will only open at 7 AM on Thu, Fri now. 8 AM on Sat, Mon-Wed9 AM on SunBummer.
Saw rating of 58% not surprised, very poor service, seems like everyone working there hates it. Food very average, don’t plan on going back
