The service was quite friendly. We had the fish & chips (the pollock) and the fish was great, cooked perfectly, nice thin, light tempura batter, and fresh, not frozen. I recommend it highly. However, there was nothing with it, no coleslaw, no veg at all. The fries were frozen, although from whole potatoes, and were very dry. I didn’t eat them. It was cafeteria style which I didn’t like but that’s not their fault. We had to go up to the counter to read the menu. The waitress did bring the meal to the table which I appreciated. Would I go back? Yes, but only for take-out fish, no chips,and bring it home to eat.
Really good fish tacos and friendly staff. Not my favourite kind of fries on their own but they suit poutine. Went there on a Saturday night an it was surprisingly dead but enjoyed it nonetheless!
Loved the unlimited tacos. Though the tacos are quite filling so you start getting full really quick. It’s a great deal if you have some spare room in your stomach.
Great place! Only eleven dollars for a large urban poutine and a drink for lunch!! I also enjoy the fish tacos. I would recommend this place for anyone that enjoys poutine or fish tacos!
My wife and I have eaten there on several occasions. The service is efficient and friendly, the prices reasonable and the food is good. I’ve tried both the fish and chips and the fish tacos and was more than pleased both times…..although I must admit, I have a penchant for the fish tacos…delicious :). If you want good quality, fresh food that you can either eat in or take out, this is the place for you. We’re on our way there tonight, as a matter of fact 🙂
I’be been here twice since it opened and both times i’ve been happy. I have only ordered the Joey’s fish taco which would be (in my opinion) a 5* taco if they would lay off the cabbage just a touch. I also tried my boyfriends buffalo chicken poutine which was delicious (spicy!). I’m happy there is now a place in Kanata where I can quickly get my fish taco and poutine fix 🙂
