If you want something uncomplicated that is also tasty this is the place. I love their brick sandwiches and wraps, especially the Chicken Club. Makes a nice light lunch. Salads were excellent for what they were – they put real bacon on the Caesar, not that fake bacon bits stuff.I did not like their burgers. They were overcooked, bland, and too greasy. Their onion rings could also be better.Eating in, the interior is unpretentious and casual, and the service was friendly. Recommend for a quick and easy lunch or takeout.
Breakfast on a Saturday, 3 in our party. Ordered basic eggs etc and was all good. Generous with the bacon and other meats. Very good service. Other reviews seem negative about service and food, but no complaints here.
Went to Kal’s place last night. Only had an original club not hard to make but it was by far the best club sandwich I have had in years. Fries were great service was great. I will definitely be going back.

Slow service, mediocre food, nothing special. Was here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated on the patio to wait for a table and were given our coffees there, appreciated that. However, once seated inside the food took forever to come out and we were never offered a coffee refill. The meal was quite mediocre and for the price was just not worth it. Decor is uninspiring and inconsistent (abstract, oil painting, Senators Neon beer sign, Canadiens jersey….strange)
Very disappointed. Went to Kal’s Place family restaurant and got the worst service ever. There was a line of people waiting who had to seat themselves, the two ladies working there did not acknowledge the ten people waiting. There was empty table but dirty and customers were cleaning them themselves while these two girls attended to things not pertinent to customer service. The blond walked around very cocky while the other was better at showing a pleasant personality. We left after sitting in a dirty booth for 30 minutes. I don’t recommend this place at all!
