Great rack of lamb, great caprese salad, no torch to brul the creme (told once it was delivered, not sure if it was discounted), la cucina cocktail tasty but needed to be strained (ice chunks). Hastened to leave after 2hrs for next seating. Good ambiance, attentive staff, cold and drafty seating near the entrance. Overall food quality and service very good, but dessert, cocktail, and climate comfort need attention for the price.
Dinner out with my family the other evening, we were disappointed overall.Service was good, prompt and helpful but the food was mediocre at best.For apps we had bruschetta and ceasar salad. The bruchetta had under rip tomatoes, no garlic or balsamic to seen or tasted. Nice toast on the bread though and generous enough I suppose. The salad was very disappointing, especially the dressing which tasted like it came out of one of those little airplane dressing packages.My seafood pasta was generous enough on the shellfish but tasteless. Pasta nearly undercooked.No garlic, the sauce was pastey like it had too much cornstarch and overall was bland. No strong tomato/garlic flavour at all…..boring.My wife and son had the spaghetti and meatball. The pasta seems like it was left over from a few days previous and re heated and again, very bland and tasteless.The deep fried oreo was a hit with my son….It’s too bad we were looking for a west end equivalent of spectacular Mr. B’s which was around the corner from our previous home…this place is not it. We won’t beback.
