  Before a dive into my review I want to say that we purchased a Groupon for dinner for 2-$35 worth of food. Once we arrived at the restaurant there were even more stipulations outlined and all we were allowed to order were two dinners that did not amount to $35. Very dishonest. We ordered Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork dinners. The containers will filled with 90% mushy rice, two plaintain wedges and shredded cabbage. The pork was full of fat and lacked flavour. The chicken was delicious! Overall I would not go back. Paying even the Groupon price $21 for the two dinners is outrageous, when all you are getting is a container full of rice and beans with two plantain wedges and some shredded cabbage and some meat. If I had paid $35 as the owner claims the dinners were worth I would have been very disappointed. We will not be back. Dishonesty with the Groupon doesn’t help. If you want these stipulations they should be outlined in the fine print.

  Nice family ran Salvadorian and Caribbean place! Service is friendly and the food is good. Their yucca fries are delicious; crispy on the outside and dense but moist on the inside. The only disappointment was they were out of Horchata when we came in at 1:30 PM. It must be tasty to sell out that early in the day; we’ll have to go back and try again since there aren’t many places in Ottawa that makes it.

  Amazing! It’s about time we have this type of food in Kanata. I had the red snapper dinner( only served on Fridays – in typical West Indian style). It was excellent – better than mom’s (but don’t tell her). I can’t wait to eat there again. Good portions, excellent food and friendly service. A gem for sure.
