Stayed at this hotel. Generally the staff was courteous and supportive but every once in a while there would a nut, who needs some cracking 😉 the facilities have strange timings… gym/ health club does not start before 7, so does the breakfast. I missed my early morning exercises most of the days. Rooms were spacious, but internet was patchy.
We have been visiting Perspectives as our ‘go to’ date night restaurant for the last ten years, and usually visit 6-10 times per year. The restaurant is consistently outstanding, and prevents an alternative to the downtown Ottawa scene. What can you expect at Perspectives? Perfected plates, romantic ambiance and spectacular service. If you’re lucky enough to get, ‘Rock’ as your server, rest assured that he is the best in the city. They also have an incredible private room for group events and a great view of the resort. Overall, it doesn’t get better than this in Ottawa, and worth the drive if you are coming in from the East end.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. Nice to sit on the patio overlooking the pool and golf course when the weather is nice. Sunday Brunch is top notch.
The Sunday brunch is quite good, lots of variety, and good quality food, although I wasn’t impressed by the quality of the sushi. Not the place to go for a quiet meal though. Very crowded, a bit cramped, and noisy, with lots of kids running around. Other positives: the staff were very attentive and the decore was nice.
My wife and I had a Saturday night dinner at Perspectives and both enjoyed our meals. I had the table d’hte with the steak. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. my wife had the risotto and was very pleased. She had a full plate and took some home. Service was excellent and overall pricing was quite reasonable for the quality.
Buttermilk pancakes. One word, yummy.
I have eaten here many times. I think it important to state that the atmosphere and food varies depending on day/time/seasonThe Sunday brunches on holidays are amazingThe blind tasting menu is incredibleNew Years and Xmas dinners are scrumptious! This shines as a 5star restaurant during these.I think where the average ratings and complaints come from general weekday meals and lunches. Personally I never had a problem but definitely know the difference in service… Those are the times I think of this as a hotel restaurant. Try talking to someone who has actually eaten there for one of the events I mentioned and you will find eagerness to go back. It’s personally on my too three special occasion restaurants!
