Fantastic meaty Hawaiian pizza. This was my first time at Sammy’s and I can say it won’t be my last. The Hawaiian pizza I ordered was a mountain of ham and pineapples smothered in cheese and tomato sauce. I’m usually not a fan of classic tomato sauces but sauce did not have an overpowering tomato taste to it. The tomato sauce was flavourful, with a sweet background that complemented the pineapples perfectly. I am craving more pizza from Sammy’s as I’m writing this. Although a bit out of the way for me, I will definitely find time to go again.
Horrible tried 3 times never again. Have given them the benefit of the doubt and it was a mistake. Ordered pizza a and wings for the third time the three times where over the course of the year. Paid for extra cheese there was hardly and cheese and everything was burnt. The chef cane out when we complained about the pizza and then started picking at the burnt parts with his fingers and said can’t you just pick it off. This was a 30$+ meal. We where shocked! We said no thank you and wanted our money back. They cooked a second pizza and would not refund us until the second was done. The young women who was working the cash didn’t help at all and when we wanted a refund threw the pizza down and stormed off. The owner who bought this place has run it into the ground. It used to be good. He even gets on the review sites and makes comments about costumerswith negative reviews about his establishment instead of fixing his problems. Try fitsroy pizza they are way better in food and customer service!
