This place is ok, the yellow curry and mango salad are excellent. Some things on the menu are good or ok (like the egg rolls), but the coconut soup is something you should not order, it’s somewhat tasteless. Fast and friendly delivery service.
One of the best Thai places for Take Out in Kanata! Their cashew nut dish is abundant with flavour! It is best to get the rice add-on but the prices are very competitive and the flavour and serving sizes make for great value. The yellow and red curries are very good and they can personalize your liking for spicy or mild. The mango salad is also amazing – a little pricey for the salad but well worth it for the large jumbo shrimp and additive flavour! My daughter also loves their chicken balls – actually their chinese food is very good too! (Garlic ribs, chow mein, etc)The employees are all very nice and friendly and with orders over $35 you get a free chicken fried rice. We have done both pick up and delivery and both were great experiences.
Helped my girlfriend with a gluten free option too!18 Apr, 2015Awesome food. Good spice! Shrimp pad Thai has lots of shrimp. Delivery was quick. Food was hot and big portion. Veggie spring rolls are awesome too. Will order again!
Can’t order for 1. I have had Thai to go a couple of time and I usually enjoy the service from them. I usually order with my friend but when I wanted to order something just for myself they wouldn’t let me because my order wasn’t over $15 dollars. I think that is ridiculous. Someone should be able to order dinner for themselves and have it delivered if they are incapable of getting there on their own.
Better places in the area. I ordered the chicken panang and asked for it to be extra spicy as it was a cold night, as well as chicken skewers. The skewers were nicely cooked with a good peanut sauce and but the panang dish didn’t work.I was disappointed to find the curry more sweet than spicy and didn’t have the usual hints of kaffir or palm sugar that I would have expected in such a dish. Overall, it was loaded with sweet peppers, some chicken and the sweet curry sauce which didn’t do it for me. For the cost ($14), I would have expected much better. It’s unfortunate because it’s very close to home and would have been a nice convenience. Maybe they will improve with time.
Will Go Back. We ordered both Thai and Chinese food and were pleasantly surprised with both! The pad Thai was excellent, as was the fried tofu and spring rolls. We enjoyed the Chinese rice and egg rolls as we’ll. I can’t wait to try more options.
Overall, nothing special. Came by to get a quick takeout dinner before work and ordered the red curry with tofu, They had a 20% off for grand opening so I saved about $2 but the curry is just curry, you have to pay $2 extra for jasmine rice. The portions they give wasn’t worth the $12.25 I paid, with the discount and even though it was supposed to have 2 chillies for spiciness, I found it to be not even remotely spicy and a little on the watery side. There are better options for Thai, and if you’re in the mood for takeout you’re better off at Thai Express.
