Disapointed. Went to the Burbs the other night. Was looking forward to giving this place a try for a long time. I had the Chicago Style Beef Dip I enjoyed the sandwich itself but the fries were terrible. Over cooked hard, dry. My girlfriend and her sister had the club. They didn’t enjoy it at all They felt it had a watery taste to it not sure if they water down their mayo maybe or the way they store the turkey itself. my girlfriend also was not impressed with the fries her sister had salad instead of fries she didn’t say anything good or bad about the salad so I am guessing it was ok. Even though I really enjoyed my sandwich I doupt we will go back. Its a group decision on where we go eat and I know they wont go back me I would be 50/50. That being said service was great, The waitress was excellent. Other than my sandwich however the food was sub par.
Awesome!. Excellent food. Not much in decor but food is great (the homefries are delish!), prices are fair, service is good, and they have a patio too. Going back for sure.
1st time here we had breakfast in the afternoon…it was really really good! Homefries are excellent! Great seasoning and everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I noticed they had all local beers on tap which is a plus for me. Other people were ordering lunch around us and all of it looked delicious. Good service too! Will be back for beers and more food.
Great for breakfast. Now that I’m in my 40’s, I’m less inclined to frequent places where the visit is more work than it’s worth. You know, the kind of place where you wait 45 minutes for a table, make your way through hordes of 7:30pm drunks at the bar, deal with holier than thou hostesses that think they’re auditioning for Vogue, only to get the crappiest seat in the center of the restaurant? Just then, two babies on either side of the place let out a shriek in stereo that could wake the dead! (That sums up just about everything in the Centrum.)The Burbs was a breath of fresh air in that regard. It’s pretty unassuming and straightforward. Simple comfort food, brought to you by some pretty sweet ladies. We ordered bacon and eggs from the breakfast menu even though it was well after lunch time. The food was well cooked, and the restaurant was very clean. Their home fries are a cut above what you would normally get at a neighborhood spot like this. (Usually, you can tell when a restaurant has dumped a bag of frozen Cavendish home fries into the fryer and thrown in some green onion later.) Well these are better than that. A good spot, that we will likely return to.
Breakfast. Great breakfast – bacon eggs … service has always been great, very friendly and accommodating.
Brought a few colleges in tonight for dinner and a drink. I had told them how great the service and food was here. I was not dissapointed and my boss and colleges agreed. Stacy provided excellent service and was extremely attentive. We will be back and I am very pleased that the service I come to be accustomed to was also given when my reputation was on the line.23 Oct, 2013My absolute favorite pub in town. Wonderful and accommodating staff with a cheers like atmophere. Food is amazing. Can’t wait for you to get Doseqqis back on tap.
