Excellent place for Chinese food in Kanata. I’ve been now and then with my family, as an occasional treat, and last time we went earlier this month, it was great. All dishes satisfy, good generous portions, fresh, tasty, and we were given prompt and courteous service. The ambiance may be kind of bland, nothing elaborate in terms of decoration compared to the places on Somerset…but that didn’t matter to us.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been going there for at least 5 years but my recent encounter changed my mind. I will never waste my money there. The lady in the front is extremely rude. I don’t know how they are in business
If you happen to be white and know how Canton food should taste don’t bother going here. Last week I went here with a friend from Hong Kong and we had a good time. A dish I ordered extra spicy came that way and fresh. So today I go, order the same dish and Szechuan beef. I get treated like a westerner with no chopsticks, no tea, no bowl ect. Whatever so I ask for it. About two min after I order the beef comes out… and surprise it tasted like it had been overcooked, room temperature, and not spicy at all like I had asked. Then the other dish I just got 4 days before comes out with maybe half a small chilies on it – 1/5 of the garlic and hot pepper I had gotten with my Hong Kong freind. Anyways I end up asking for chili, they would not give me more garlic or cook more hot peppers. At the end of the meal I say I dont want the beef packed up she gets defensive right away, and I just said I don’t want to fight over it calmly. I hear her go in back and starting yelling in Cantonese. Then I get the bill and they want to charge me for the dish I would not touch and said I did not want to bring home. She starts yelling at me – cultural difference yes but this is silly. She says it does not matter I ordered it I pay her boss told her thats the way it is blah blah. Then I just calmly say ok can I talk to your boss? He comes out will not look at me with his head looking right to the floor she is erratically talking to him in Canton for a good min before she looks at me again even thou I know she had talked to him two times in back already. Whatever this bull goes on for 2 min with her get louder and saying like you cant go to McDonalds and not pay…. I say this is not McDonald this is a sit down restaurant. Thats all I say. I get treated like s*** for another min then boss says two words still not looking at me. And she says ok this one time we will do it but this is trash now we waist money…. Ummm I got yelled at for 5 min over $12? Are you kidding me? I dont care if the dish is made correct you cant talk to customers like this. I worked many restaurants and we would never had done this. Cultural difference? Sure but yeah believe the reviews of them being rude lol. I wanted to throw up the food after I left b/c the idea of something inside me that some one so rude and greedy made was overwhelming. Oh yeah side note I checked the price on the dish i did eat and she still charged me a $1.50 more then it is on the menu then tax. Brava. The original bill as well she was already trying to charge me $3 more then what is stated in the menu lol. What a joke. Look at your bill and know what you are paying for if you still want to go.
Best Chinese restaurant I’ve found in Kanata so far. Nothing fancy, just tasty food and good sized portions. A big takeout order was ready in 20 mins.
Yum!. Great food. Best Chinese food I’ve found in Kanata. Really fresh. Not overly salty or greasy. HUGE portions. A Dinner for 2 could easily feed 4 people. Affordable pricing as well.My only tip would be if you are dining with small children, bring a portable high chair. They only have one and it looks like it may be from the late 80s.
Awful customer service, by far the worst I have ever experienced from a restaurant. I will never order from here again. Every time I call this restaurant looking to order delivery or take out i am asked whether I really want to order because it’s going to be at least an hour. I have laughed off these comments in the past but today’s ordering experience has put a really sour taste in my mouth. When I was done placing the order, I was asked how would I like to pay. I replied that I would be paying MasterCard. The lady taking my order yelled at me and told me that I was then required to give my credit card information over the phone. I asked why can I not pay the driver when he arrives at the door (which I have done with any other delivery service). The employee then proceeded to berate me for not handing over my card information immediately. She said that it was ridiculous to think that the driver was going to drive back and forth to my house so he could put through my card. I calmly told the employee not to speak to me in that way which put her into another tirade. I cancelled my order and will never be ordering from their establishment again.
Take out…. Takes WAY to long. I’ve tried ordering food for delivery from this restaurant a few times. Each time I was told they where to busy and couldn’t deliver, which was kind of disappointing. Finally decided tonight I would go pick it up. I was told it would take 40 minutes. It took me an hour to pick it up and I ended up having to wait another 25 minutes. Not very impressed with the service nor with the cleanliness of the place. I was kind of wary to eat the food considering my thoughts of a grimy kitchen after seeing what was present in the dining room. Anyways long story short the food was a total disappointments tasted just like any other suburban take out place. Won’t be going back there again. At least the other neighbourhood joints treat you kindly and the food is on time.
