Place looks great on the outside and inside. Strange order business of waiting in line to order off of a menu and then go wait for it at your table, food was sub par to my expectations ( i am not a fussy person at all, will give anywhere a fair chance) . Definitely way over priced for what you get (47 $) for two of us to have lunch . was in line for 10 minutes to order and then waited another 25 minutes for our food to arrive, with terrible table service. There will not be a second visit from this couple! There’s a great Italian restaurant within one minute drive from this place, and its great food and service every time . Hope this review helps , cheers all.
Great place for a quick lunch. Not too expensive and good options. Easy to please lots of people by going there. Loved the piadina I had. Stuff were friendly, service quick.
We had to go there before a Sens game tonight after trying 5 other places.I had the Ossobuco ragu pasta. It was bland lacking salt and the veal ragu was not good at all. The place looks good but the food is severely lacking taste and flavour. My kids had the alfredo and carbonara pasta, I could not even tell the difference between the 2 , the bacon was absent. This is not authentic Italian food.
This place had been recommended to us by someone who worked nearby. We stepped in and found a place with the ambiance of MacDonalds. The space is very open and there is nothing to absorb the noise. There is an extensive menu and one is asked for one’s order before the whole menu can be read.We ordered a couple of flat bread sandwiches. The prices were in line with nearby pubs, far too expensive for what you get, in what is essentially a fast food restaurant. I had ordered a roasted Portobello mushroom and goat cheese. The sandwich was totally lacking any goat cheese, so it was bland and messy to eat. My partners chicken sandwich was tastier, but not exceptional. On the upside, the restrooms were clean and spacious. I won’t be back.
I was tempted to get a panino and a side order of french fries, but for $18? No way. Thirteen dollars for a sandwich that comes with a teeny tiny portion of dressed greens is too high of a price point (and the only way I knew that is because I observed what other people were having; it would be nice if their menu board indicated that paninos and piadinas came with a side of greens). So instead I ordered a Pollo al Pesto pizza – Grilled Chicken, Pesto and Crushed Tomato Sauce, Roasted Pepper & Onions, Caramelized Onion, Broccolini, Fior Di Latte.Positives: great chewy crust (I liked it better than Anthony’s!), plentiful toppings, generous portion.Negatives: it was lukewarm, the pesto was nowhere to be found, and it was incredibly bland. The sauce and toppings would certainly benefit from a more assertive seasoning. The staff were….okay. They could have been friendlier, more polished, and inviting. The decor is really nice and modern and it’s a pleasant atmosphere for lunch. You order at the counter and they bring your order to the table.Another plus would be if they had water available at the table or self-serve where the utensils are located.I won’t make a big effort to return but if someone suggested it, hey, I would go. I would order the pizza again (that crust!!) but now I know to season it myself – and perhaps ask for extra sauce and pesto.
Food lowdown: I was excited about the picante pizza until it arrived looking blah and then I took my first bite of this flavourless pizza. Sadly had to add generous amounts of chilli pepper flakes and hot oil. Whereas the pollo al pesto was a much more flavourful and better presented pizza. Note we haven’t completely ruled this place out for a second try but will order different items.ps. cafeteria style format
