3rd time at Port Soiree. Have I said how much I love this place. My husband and I have been to many fine dining resto in T.O. and outside but this is really my fave, even before Buca.Saturday lunch, had the fried calamari (the best I’ve ever had yet), with salad and rice. I do have to admit that I’m not particularly fond of the rice (the yellow kind. harder kind). My husbnad had the Portuguese fish pasta. Not skimpy with anything – full of calamari, shrimp, octopus and lots of mussels. It was so flavourful. We shared the cheese cake and afdter ordering wondered if they made it there. One bite and we knew, they sure do! The best once again. The chef is amazing. My goal now is to try everything on the menu. Stay tuned.11 Jun, 2012P.S. I love you!. My husband and I had lunch at this resto 2 weeks ago. We were going to be in the area so I checked out places where we could eat and Port Soiree sounded good. This place is AMAZING! we liked it so much we made a trip from our home in Brampton this past weekend to have lunch there again!First time I had the cod cakes. Best ever! My husband Fettucini with shrimp and loved it. I know ti doesn’t sound like anything special but the flavours were more than there!Second time we both had the pasta with chicken and sundried tomatoes. Again, doesn’t sound out of this world but was so tasty. They have a great patio on the main street of Schomberg. Haven’t sat out there yet but I guarantee we will try it soon.Oh, and the owner, at least I think he is, is very attentive to diners. He watches as he’s doing other things to make sure all is well. He doesn’t come over to ask you how your food is because he knows. It’s worth the drive to Schomberg. Better than a lot of Toronto high end resto’s. This guy knows what he’s doing.
