Of all the wonderful options that Kingston has to offer, Aqua Terra is by far my favourite. A combination of a beautiful atmosphere, a location overlooking the water, and outstanding food, this place is a wonderful experience.

Questionable first impression.. I went here on a date with someone and can’t say that the waiter was very friendly. We had an Asian themed four-course meal and the appetizer was a deep-fried egg in a somewhat bland ox-tail sauce. The other meals were nice, we had stuffed chicken, a good dessert of a whipped-cream + espresso mixed sundae, and a lovely Korean BBQ dish. Now it is a fancy restaurant, and we went there when it was dark otherwise it would have a better view than it did, but I really question the whole ambience, the waiters were a little unfriendly, (I suppose to keep their posh costumers happy?), I consider myself a friendly person, and the music wasn’t very noticeable, and the lighting was very dim on a dark night. So it was like eating your meal in silence, in a dim room, and with a waiter you couldn’t relate to as your host. The food was fine and my date was pleased that it was a posh restaurant but I think I’d go for a less-posh restaurant for a better date even if the food is a little less fancy just because I think I’d have more fun. That’s only my review for one experience though, I might have had a different view if I went on another day with a different waiter.

Amazing. AMAZING. Our server was incredible and I highly recommend getting the prixe fixe menu – comes with nice little surprises like an amuse bouche at the very beginning and frozen dark chocolate at the end of your meal. Food was amazing and we left feeling very full and content after.

Arguably in the top ten restaurants in Kingston. I had many dinners and breakfast there, and not once disappointed. A little bit on the pricy side.

We’re very happy that we chose Aqua Terra for our Anniversary dinner. The staff were very courteous and we were well looked after. We both enjoyed our dinner, the food and beverages offered being excellent. We fully intend to return again soon!

Best in Kingston. Party of 5 went to Aqua Terra Oct 27/13. 3 ordered from the Prix Fixe menu and 2 ordered from the standardized item menu. Wine selections were excellent (ordered a baco noir, pinot grigio and a malbec). Bread was served with a orange zest butter, which was unique but tasty. Amuse-bouche was served free of charge due to the fact that we were there for a birthday celebration. It was a ginger beef served on a bed of slaw and was enjoyed by the entire party. Great start to the evening menu. Appetizers were 2 ceasar salads, the tuna starter selection, the pork bites, and the apple soup. All starters were delicious, but I, having had the tuna selection, was most impressed by mine. The tuna melted in my mouth and the sweet potato below and creme fraiche above added the perfect blend of sweetness, flavour and texture. Of the dinner selections, we had 2 of the seafood risottos, 2 chicken, and 1 pork dish. All were very much enjoyed, and the risottos were well executed. Plating wasn’t fancy (particularly compared to the appetizers) but food was very good. Dessert selections were 2 cinnamon raisin bread puddings, 1 black forest cake, 1 white chocolate volcano cake and 1 pana cotta (sp?). The desserts were good with the exception of the pana cotta. The texture of this piece was not good. All 5 party members tasted and consensus was that the quality of this item is NOT to Aqua Terra’s fine standards. Overall ambience was good, although the entrance into the Delta smelled strongly of chlorine. Initial service was a little slow but got rolling very quickly after bread service. Windows required cleaning on the exterior, but very pretty view of RMC and the marina and lake. Definitely will be revisiting to try other menu options at this very high caliber restaurant, but for appetizers I’m sticking with that tuna!

Awesome, just awesome!. My boyfriend and I went here for our one year anniversary dinner, we found it by accident on Google so we didn’t know what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised!! I ordered the lobster rolls, seafood risotto and creme brulee for dessert, all were absolutely amazing! My boyfriend ordered the french onion soup, fillet mignon and one of the dessert martinis, he has been raving about the soup ever since! I love Kingston, it’s an amazing city and Aqua Terra fits in splendidly! The service was great, so friendly and much deserving of the large tip we left! I will be dreaming about the seafood risotto for days, what a wonderful time for a wonderful occasion!
