Not Impressed. So I tried Bubba’s for the first time and was not impressed. I was told it had great poutine but the service was not so great. Well the service not being great is an understatement! The woman at the counter was loud and rude. I could hear her swearing and talking about the customers in a very negative manner. Worst of all she was biting her nails and serving food. I did not stick around to get her chewed off nails in my food. The whole thing is disgusting and she should not be serving food. In fact the health board should be called!!
Amazing Pizza at an Affordable Price!. Let me start by saying that I’m a big fan of Bubbas. I love their poutine, I love how they make the bottom crust of their pizza so crispy-tasty, and I like how cheap it all is.It’s cheesy, fatty, salty, but so damned good. I know that if you ate like that on a daily basis, you would straight up die.The customer service could benefit from a serious tune-up, but other than that, you get a lot of value here for not a lot of coin.
It is what it is. And by that, you get exactly what you’d expect at a pizza and burger joint that hasn’t changed since it opened. The poutine was good. The service was friendly. Why people continue to go to fast food drive thru places still puzzles me.
Good! Not great. But you get what you pay for with this restaurant.
Passe Poutine?. I was in search for a good true Canadian poutine. I made it a point to go to Canada for poutine that is authentic. I searched the web for Kingston’s best poutine. Bubba’s came up as the place to go. We were greeted by a very nice lady who touted that we came to an award winning poutine place. I was very excited. We ordered pizza and the chicken poutine. We also got a free order of Montreal poutine with the purchase of a pizza. Even though we liked the poutine, we talked about the what we could do to make it better. We felt that the fries could have been fresh cut and the gravy could have tasted more like homemade. There was definate room for improvement. The pizza was below average. The crust was not tasty and the sauce lacked flavor (I mean flavour). Poutine will have to wait until I get a chance to get what I could imagine as real poutine from a real place that is recommended by a real poutine fanatic. I feel that it should be easy to find a better poutine place next time I try it.
Is the poutine still the best thing this side of 2 a.m.?. This was my ultimate craving 20 years ago. I sure hope it hasn’t lost its charm.
If you’re looking for good cheap food, this is the place for you. The burgers are delicious.
