I ordered the butter chicken and I have to say I was pretty dissapointed with what I receieved. The butter chicken was sweet (flavoured with sugar and cocunut?) and lacked flavour.. The chicken was very bland tasting. Also, it wasnt cheap for the portion size I received.. Would not repeat
Delicious!! best Indian restaurant in Kingston hands down!!
Love the place. My wife and I have tried all of the Indian restaurants in town but 90% of the time end up back at the Darbar. Also whenever we have friends from out of town & especially the UK (curry lovers) we always head there. The Dansak is the best in town, the Naan is great, the Darbar rice is my favorite and always washed down with a few beers! Good, friendly service and easy to park outside. Also still reasonably priced
Best !. Le meilleur restaurant indien que je connaisse ….. et j’en ai essay beaucoup !
Lunch and Supper visits. Ashok and Mafuz run this place with a wizard chef in the kitchen. They serve first class Indian fare from Mulligatawny soup to pakora through Biryanis and curries where all ingredients are lavish and well cooked. My wife and I eat there all the time as its’s our favourite Indian Restaurant in Kingston and we normally get a super three course meal for about $40 – we have cokes to drink and Mango ice cream for dessert, soup or pakora, papadom and garlic nan bread and smashing beef or chicken or shrimp curry (madras is very hot) but the plain curry is fine and tasty without burning one to death. They supply a chillie sauce of special Punjabi origin for pumping up the heat factor! Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Kingston and anywhere between Montreal and Toronto, in our opinion!
Excellent food and great service. We’ve been coming here for years and have always been happy with everything.
