Really don’t know why Frankie’s has such mediocre ratings; came here with my fam and we LOVED it! We ate at Woodenheads the previous night so we stuck with pastas instead of pizzas. Started off with Caesar Salads with delicious house-made dressing, as well as a Calamari Griglia *so* delicious, my brother gave it a 5/5! He practically drank the sauce left over on the bottom. Definitely a must-try. We ordered three pastas to share. The short ribs in the Braised Short Rib Rigatoni were WONDERFUL ;3 perfectly tender, with some soft tendon still attached. It was my favourite part of the meal. My dad and brother loved the Shrimp & Scallops Fettuccine, especially the way the seafood flavour seeped into the creamy sauce. Only the Polpettine was mediocre. It didn’t hurt that we had a fantastic waiter who struck up easy conversation with every table. If you’re craving Italian food in Kingston, definitely come by Frankie’s!
