New ownership. I have both ordered delivery from them and also did deliveries for them. The food we ordered was good but it came with gravy which was a bit weird.The interior needs a huge over-haul! The chairs and tables are so old and so small, you feel like you are in the 60’s! I would never eat in there and think only the local old timers go there to eat in. New Garden does have some strong supporters that have been with them for years (people even out in Amherstview order from them even for a long wait) but I hear many complaints about a new owner that took over in 2012 and how it has become all about profit and has become cheap.
Doesn’t like it!This Restaurant use to be great food, the best in town. But since they changed new ownership, The food is not good. I as well as many others have the same opinion. I/we have mentioned it to the restaurant several times. They are stubborn so we have moved on to another one. Why change something when it was so good. This was a very busy fast paced place. I don’t see the cars like we use to either. Rating 1-5 scale 2 Not recommended.
Since the switch to the new owners, the food is not that good 🙁 its too bad I used to really like this place

Will never return to this restaurant we waited for nearly 45 minutes for our dinner and once it started to get served to us it was another 15 minutes before we got our last dish at the table the food was cold , small portions and didnt taste freshly cooked.the rice was mushy and chicken ball had very little meat in them .the waiter seemed to be rushing us out and was rude and unprofessional . when we told the man about our concerns he just said sry there was nothing he could do about it we asked for the boss or owner and he said he was the owner we told him this wasnt acceptable service and he said for us not to return if we didnt like it so people be forwarned dont go to new garden restaurant this was the worse experience we ever had in a restaurant and no we didnt leave a tip
Ask for the Chinese Menu. This is certainly the favourite Chinese Restaurant I’ve found (and frankly I don’t look anymore after finding the New Garden Restaurant). If you want a more ‘authentic’ Chinese dining experience ask for the Chinese menu.
