  Awful experience all around. The only reason it gets 2 and not 0 is because the food was decent.We arrived on time for our reservation, but were sat at the bar and told our table would be cleared quickly. 20 minutes later they informed us it would be another 20 minute wait. Had we known we would have to wait 40 minutes for our reservation we would not have stayed.We were seated in an awful location the back corner against a wall and left alone for another 10 minutes. Our unpleasant waitress did not do anything to improve our experience and rarely came to check on us – we actually had to get up and get pepper from another table because she never offered pepper or came back to see if we needed anything with our meals.The food was fine but the experience was not worth it and while the manager offered us drinks while we waited, she never came back during our meal to apologize or see how we were doing.Will not be returning or suggesting to friends.

  The pasta we got were absolutely fantastic! I can definitely tell that these pasta were made fresh as they advertised. The portion are however relatively small and the service wasn’t the best for a place with these prices. Our waitress seemed annoyed when one of our friends couldn’t figure out which dishes were vegetarian that she could choose from. It’s not labelled on the menu and if you are not familiar with the Italian names for the sauces, it’s difficult to tell what is vegetarian. But the waitress proceeded to hurry my friend and just went through the menu super quickly. I expected better explanation of the menu as I knew it wouldn’t take up too much more of her time.Overall, the food was good but come in a small portion AND the service was not good.

  I had an amazing dinner with my friend at Olivea this past Tuesday night. Friendly staff, although I do think the establishment was short-staffed that night as it took a while for our server to come and greet us at our table. Nonetheless, the antipasto board and the Chicken Picatta was AH-mazing !!! The ambience is packed yet intimate, nice dim lighting, and the entertainment (Tuesday nights are live jazz nights !) was an impressive touch. Overall, a great experience indeed! Do check out Olivea whenever you are swinging by Kingston.
