Good luck staying in business. So I happened to be walking down princess with a rumble in my stomach when I happened upon Poutine Place. I decided to step in just to see what it was all about, and the menu was impressive! ‘Organic’ burgers, shakes, and a poutine selection that rivaled Smoke’s. As a vegan, I was blown away when I saw that Poutine Place even offered a ‘vegan poutine’! I thought to myself, this place is going to make a killing. Well, that lasted all of 7 minutes. After my first bite, all I could think of was all of the more enjoyable ways I could have spent that $8. The ‘cook’ apparently selected the worst tasting soy cheese on the market, threw it on some thin, saggy fries, and slathered it with a whole lot of sub-par gravy and apparently thought it was okay to charge a premium price. So to the owners of poutine place, here’s a tip: If you want to tap into niche markets, have the decency to respect your prospective customers. If you wouldn’t eat that shit yourself, don’t charge me $8 for it. Best of luck.
