Great!!!! Best meal in a long time. I ate dinner here in early September and cannot say enough good about the place. While the price was steep (for me) the food and service were excellent.Sat at the bar with Tagan and others serving. All staff were friendly, helpful and excellent workers. I watched as each and every wine glass was polished prior to use. What a delight to see staff that were well trained. The app of crab cakes was delicious though the tartar-like sauce was not needed, make a light berry based sauce to compliment these snacks. The bone-in ribeye was chicagoed and medium rare as requested, the horse radish, nasal clearing hot, and everything incredibly tasty. Best Canadian steak in years.I was very impressed, the dining room manager even checked to see how my meal was.Great, I highly recommend and will be back next time in Kingston

Clueless waitress ruined the night. My husband and I dined at The Keg for our wedding annivesary on July 23 and overall were disappointed. We had been to this location a few times in the past and had fabulous meals so we were really looking forward to the dinner. Unfortunately a big part of the problem was our waitress. We were seated for almost 20 minutes before we were even asked for our drink order, and even then it was done by another waitress who seemed shocked we hadn’t been served yet. I think she must have gone to get our actual waitress, who took said she’d be right back with our drinks and bread. She didn’t come back for fifteen minutes. It took us over an hour to get our food, and both of our steaks were well done, when I had ordered medium and my husband had ordered medium rare. There was literally no pink anywhere in the meat. Had we been paying for the meal ourselves (we had a gift card) and had a waitress who was prompt we would have sent both meals back, but at this point we were so hungry and so annoyed at our waitress that we just ate the meals. Luckily The Keg does serve good meat and I still enjoyed my meal, even though it wasn’t done the way I had requested. I’m sure our waitress was trying, and she wasn’t rude, just so unbelievably clueless and slow, without apologizing for any delays. She was very clearly hired for her looks and not her serving skills. By the time we finished our meal and had our plates cleared, we had been there for two hours. We wanted dessert but were so tired of waiting that we skipped dessert and grabbed ice cream somewhere else. Overall, despite my steak being overcooked, the food was delicious but not worth the crappy service and long waits. On our way out, we heard another table being served by the same waitress as us flag down another waitress because they were sick of waiting for their drinks. I guess we weren’t the only ones with a long wait that night.

Suburb!. The food here is amazing! This is the best steak i’ve ever had, and it was perfectly cooked without being burned. The garlic cheese toast was great too. I don’t know what the dessert was as the brought it out for my birthday but it was some sort of cake, and it was AMAZING. Best steak in kingston easily.

Strange prime rib. I have had lots of prime rib and this was cut and tied differently? That was just strange. A chain is all about consistency and although I realize they dont do they own butcher work they still need to have the same look and presentation as other Kegs.

Not up to standard. Went to The Keg in Kingston for the first time since moving here, for our anniversary, and were very disappointed. While the wine and appetizer were delicious, however we both ordered Filet Mignon (Rare and Medium Rare) and received Medium and Medium-Well. Sent them back, and when our new plates came, the steaks were still overcooked, but medium-rare and medium this time. Won’t be back to The Keg in Kingston, and are looking for another place to go for steak.

Really nice restaurant, good service, can’t go wrong with the filet & lobster combo. Also the dippping sauce that comes with the calamari appetizer is a must try.
