I went for my anniversary dinner with my wife. We were upgraded to the chef’s table (with full view of kitchen). The sommelier was our server. He was amazing! As they have a daily menu, you don’t know what to expect. This can make picky eaters will be nervous. Some of the dishes were out of my comfort zone BUT I expected the food to be A+ and I wasn’t disappointed. I had flank steak for dinner and it was cooked rare. It was very tender and balanced well with the kale and white beans and jus. We just ordered from the menu. It was Ontario craft cider week so unfortunately no beer on tap. Cider tap takeover although you could order beer by bottle and can. All my expectations were met. Worth going back for sure!

Ambiance is wonderful. The staff were eager and friendly. The food however was disappointing. Bland ravioli, some kind of confused shrimp dish to start. The duck was cooked excellently but the accoutrement was uninspired and unexceptional. Apparently the menu changes often however this patron will not be giving this place a second chance. BTW there’s a pretty decent Philly cheese steak shop across the street, when you leave The Berlin disappointed and hungry you can grab a sandwich there.

Quite possibly the best restaurant in the KW region. Ingredients are sourced locally and the atmosphere is on point.I went for a late weekday lunch with 5 others. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and after ordering our party received a basket of freshly baked walnut and rain bread – SO GOOD. I had the rapini, red onion and goat cheese sandwich with a side of French fries. The portion was HUGE.. so huge that I ate half my sandwich and ate the rest for dinner. Update: went for a second time and didn’t think the food was as stellar… stephaniealau.com
