I came here today as I was craving pizza and thank God I didn’t settle for the dry piece I saw earlier ar pizzaville. I set my standards high and stumbled upon Lucas pizza by accident on an empty stomach and it was like a gift from the universe. I love spots like this in hidden places that aren’t so commercial. This is def a mom n pop shop I support. I am so sick of generic pizza brands these days. I was really impressed with my nice hot and fresh HUGE slice of cheese pizza. These people are really on the ball because it was 8 pm and they had every kind of fresh pizza slice not just pepperoni for example. Normally pizza spots give up on making fresh pizza for individual slices after 6 or 7 you know. Especially one hour before closing… So I was definitely impressed. The only downfall to the pizza was the extreme grease that was very visible on it. Normally I would pat that down with napkins but I didn’t care that much just used the bag as I was so hungry – it more just gives off the feeling that it’s unhealthy by the greasy look as opposed to a wood oven pizza you know. But it doesn’t really affect the taste as it really did taste great especially the crust kind of did remind me of wood oven pizza it was all so delicious and filling. Normally I’m still hungry after a slice of pizza but these slices are truly worthy especially if you get a pop and garlic sauce (which tastes great too) you will be good. It came up to like 5.85 altogether not too shabby especially for the quality and quantity. When you walk in you can see these people flipping the dough in the air like a movie and like making it right in front of you. It definitely gives off a true authentic Italian vibe. Good service and I can’t wait to try more stuff from here ! I discovered a gem 🙂
