First time here in a long time. It’s a very good TexMex place in Mississauga. The Colossal Onion is very good and so are the beef ribs. The place is also great to watch a game with TV screens all over the place. Whether with the family or the guys this is a good place
Texas longhorn site not accepting concerns from customers. I wrote 2 separate times lengthy descriptive messages on their feedback page only to have both unable to submit. Long story short. They offer a trophy knife for completing the 72oz steak challenge and give you a T-shirt.
Horrible. This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food is horrible especially the Chipotle wings, GROSS! The 55 cent wings (as advertised on their website) are actually 65 cents. I made a reservation their accommodating 17 people and we were all siting on different sides of the restaurant…… When we finished I asked everyone how their food was and everyone said horrible. This place traps you inside like the grim reeper and you leave looking like a brown man who lost his shorts.
Best Fajitas I’ve ever had!!!!. I’ve been going to Texas Longhorn Cafe since the late 80’s. What keeps me coming back is their fajitas! Their marinade is unparalleled! The fajitas are so juicy and tasty! You get free refills of all all the fixings including cheese! Most places charge you extra for a cheese refill. The chicken fajitas are good, the beef fajitas are simply the best! They also give you complementary nachos so you don’t even need to order an appetizer. The steaks are good, but nothing distinguishable. If you want the best fajitas, and a place to watch a sporting event look no further! And go on a Monday or Tuesday. They have all you can eat fajitas Monday and 25% off a pound of fajitas on Tuesday.
Terrible Everything. What a joke, having a large table of about 10 people, you would expect it might take a little longer to get your food, but it shouldn’t take an hour for your food to come out, the waitress was clearly overwhelmed by the many tables she was taking care of, which in turn led to dreadfully lousy serivice for us, the first drink order was fairly quick, but trying to get a second drink was near impossible as the waitress, pretended to not hear us as she passed in a rush, once the food came out, the simple changes to some of our items such as substituting salsa for pico de galo, etc were all missing, reminding the waitress to get them proved to take an even longer time to come, some came, others were forgotten, the meal i ordered was the Chicken and ribs,.. I was asked if i wanted white or dark meat.. I wanted white, after about 45 mins of waiting for our food the waitress returned to let me know there was no white meat, and would if dark be ok, i said that was fine. When the food finally arrived the chicken looked terrible like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 6 hours, it was so dry, i had to make a joke of having people at our table try this dry garbage they passed off as food, the ribs were not much better.. all in all a bad experience, will never eat there again.
Poor service. Went to this place with wife oct8/14. Service extremely lousy. We were there over 40 minutes. Simple order chicken fingers, 8 wings. Over 40 minutes, waitress at table only to take order. We got up and left! What’s this all about?? Never again!
It’s been forever since we’ve been here. We arrived mid afternoon 6-7 years after our last visit to an old favorite, the Texas Longhorn. Apparently it has new owners and they remodeled just the layout. The place looked the same only the bar was moved and it looked like it worked better. We had no issues with service as out waiter only had two other tables. He was attentive without too many trips to the table pressuring us. My wife got the carne asada steak and I had combo enchiladas with a beef rib add-on. The food was all great. The steak was cooked perfect to order and was marinated just right, just as we remembered it. The enchiladas were tasty and surprisingly the beans and rice that came with it had improved since our last visit. The beef rib was insanely good. I already know I will be ordering the Bronto Beef Ribs for my meal. I had to tell the waiter to stop refilling the chips and salsa which were very tasty even though the salsa recipe was on the safe side. The chips were fresh cooked for sure. It is nice they have no problems keeping you in chips and salsa. I know back in the day the service was hit and miss so I can understand the other reviews in that regard but I had always found decent to good food at Texas Longhorn.
