Visited on a recommendation – have to say I was sadly disappointed. The food was ok – but it was the very unfriendly service that turned me off. The place was empty at dinner time and now I know why.
Delicioso! Super quaint resto full of Mexican customers – always a good sign. Sure, the waiter couldn’t speak english, but with food this yummy and prices ridiculously low, why not take it as an opportunity to practice your Spanish!? The pork taco was soooo flavourful, the shrimp tostada so fresh. Lovely cold shrimp with a cocktail sauce served on a crispy tortilla… all topped off with a delicious pale green smooth sauce – maybe avocado based? Hope to go back before I leave town – not to be missed while visiting Leamington / Pt. Pelee National Park. locomocodef.blogspot.com
This is authentic Mexican, the tacos, quesadillas and burritos are excellent! The price is great but the service does leave something to desired. They are not trying to be super fancy, but they are friendly and polite.
NEVER, EVER, GOING BACK. .. I wrote the last review under the assumption I would eventually get my order. It NEVER came. I stood up to leave as my partner had finished her meal and the grimy waiter spoke in some mexi-insult-slang as if HE was put off. We left and will NEVER EVER BE BACK.27 Oct, 2012Very put off by the waiter. Presented himself as dirty, older man not understanding order. In fact, I joked we would not get what we wanted and lo and behold, not even close. I didn’t even get my meal served…until my partner was finished her meal. Seemed to be an authentic place you might find in Juarez Mexico. (Subtle hint to never ever wanting to visit this place)
Tony is great. I love this place, the tacos are the best i had in the area. My favorite is the shrimp cocktail, definitely a mexican dish that can only be appreciated if you have been in the southwest! keep up the good work Tony.
Real Deal. This place does the basics right. Nothing fancy, and it’s not trying to be. Publius does not think you will find a more authentic taco this far north. Worth a trip. Publius went with a buddy for a hike around the point Pelee park then hit this place. Made for a really nice day.Food 20/30, Decor 17/30, Service 14/30.
