Food was excellent, everything we had was superb. The pizza, meatballs and garlic shrimp were unbelievable, however the panini was plain and boring, I could have made a better one myself at home. The deserts we had were exceptional, cream brle & cheese cake are highly recommended. The reason for only a 4.0 was due to the lack of attentive service. The waiter tried to talk the talk, with good communication on explaining the menu, but did not walk the talk. I had to ask for what I consider basic at a Italian restaurant, bread, oil & vinegar for dipping, wiping the table between courses, checking in to see if there was anything else we needed or how the food was and took a long time to bring us the bill. I would go back and I do recommend it to diners, but would recommend better training for the waiters.
This is my second review for this restaurant as the first one was removed. In short, I found the food to be Over-salted and in one case at lunch, it appeared to be microwaved. Getting confirmation from staff at the time did not net me a decisive answer. Incidentally after a work lunch (same lunch I suspect pasta sauce was microwaved). Another big issue was the constant small serving sizes. This is a cardinal sin for any restaurant serving Italian food. Especially since I was eating pasta dishes.I suspect that this restaurant suffers from trying to be more than it is. It’s an average Italian fusion restaurant that is charging top-notch prices.I recommend taking the drive to Toronto for better food. If you want drinks though, they have a nice drink menu. Coming from a Mediterranean background, it was a bit of a disappointment.
