Abruzzi was a lonely place for a solo lunch visit recently. The food was good, and the service (Shivonne) was excellent, but the interior decor has seen better days (Probably, unnoticeable during an evening dinner).

Outstanding…one of the few places in Ontario that don’t overcook the fish…knowledgeable and friendly servers…hands on management…ask for reommendations…the staff know the menu

Fantastic. Always enjoy the food and wine here and the service is excellent. Great place to go and not worry about getting a good meal. Highly recommend it.

Best upscale Italian in the city. Great service and atmosphere, everything is fresh and well prepared. After being a few times, the food is rather consistent across visits from dinner to dessert.

Group of 9 at our table. It took quite some time for our orders to be taken, but otherwise the service was excellent. We had crab cakes to start and they were good. I had the whole wheat angel hair pasta with shrimp and scallops. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The dish could have used more variety – it consisted of mostly pasta aside from the seafood. It was also drenched in an oily sauce which became more noticeable towards the end of the dish – there was a pool of it sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Two other people at the table ordered the risotto and both only ate about half of it, complaining that it was too rich. I think the chef needs to rely less on butter and oil to give flavor to the food. Overall, the service was excellent but the quality of the food was disappointing, given what we were expecting for the price. I don’t think I will return.

Best Italian in the city. I’ve tried nearly all of the Italian places in London, and Abruzzi is by far the best, although I will be frank and admit that my date and I had meat entrees with small pasta accompaniments, and not pasta dishes as the main course. I ordered the lamb shank and my partner ordered the duck one — both wonderfully flavorful and well-accompanied by fun tortellini and succulent vegetables. My partner loved his salad, too. The server was very kind, treated us well, but wasn’t over-bearing. It’s on the pricier side, but worth it.
