This is the best Indian restaurant in London, and I’ve been to all of them. The food is delicious and fresh. The naan bread and onion bhajis are to die for! The eggplant dish is also wonderful. I see that other reviewers have complained about the service, and it’s true that the server was a bit slow and seemed confused, but she was friendly and very happy to give us what we wanted when she understood what that was. It’s a small, family-run restaurant, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
Tried this place at Dundas St and it wasn’t bad. Service was prompt. We ordered veggie samosa, chicken tandoori and a plate of chicken biryani, a side order of plain yogurt and a mango lassi. Veggie samosa was fine it just lacks the flavor that i was looking for. Chicken tandoori was good. Grilled to perfection, texture wasn’t overcooked and had the right amount of spices. Chicken biryani was a little over spiced. Level 8 for the spicyness, one thing was overwhelming tho was the cardamom. I’d rate this 7/10. Good thing that the plain yogurt had to neutralise any intensity. So the mango lassi was extremely sweet. We couldnt finish it. I think the bartender should change this. I’d come back to try out more from this place.
