What I liked:1. Enjoyed the variety of empanadas it was great to try both the Colombian and Argentinian versions shared with my friend 2. I really like plantains and the appetizer plate is very generous and tasty shared with my friend 3. I enjoyed the beefsteak caballo very mild nice seasoning with chimichurri sauce, more plantain and fresh avocado. I was stuffed after this meal couldnt even do dessert 4. The service was uber friendly felt like you were part of the family extremely nice and willing to explain the menu Other comments:1.This restaurant seems to be in the middle of nowhere but it is worth the visit. 2. If you are a walk in (like us), come early to get a table One to add to my favourites list!
Dropped in on a rainy day on our way to visit in London from Waterloo. Great hospitality and excellent service by the owner. The food was fabulous with very generous portions. No fancy decor….but…..we will be back next time we are in the area.
I was taken to this restaurant by a friend for a quick bite around noon. I had never been here and was never exposed to Mexican food other than the generic Taco Bell type of thing. The place was clean and the server came to us as soon as we sat down to seen if he could fill our needs. Playing it on the safe side, I ordered a burrito and crossed my fingers that it would be passable. To my delight and surprise, it was terrific! It was huge, compared to what I had seen at TB. It also came with a rice with refried beans and a small salad. The server then brought out a glass bottle that resembled an old vinegar bottle that restaurants used to use. It contained a wonderfully spicy concoction that I sprinkled liberally on the rice. YUMMMM.Would I ever go back? ABSOLUTELY! Three days later I took the wife and her brother there and we all enjoyed our respective meals. The only down side that I could see in the whole place is that it is not wheelchair friendly with the washrooms being located downstairs. If you CAN make it down there, there is even a two seat couch down there if the washrooms are occupied and you need to wait.
