I usually pick restaurants with a good number of reviews but this time I decided to give this place a try and I was happy with the result. They have lots of options. You can read the description or look at the pictures (little booklet).Portions are good and prices are reasonable.Miso soup is tasty.If you like crab and cream cheese try volcano.
From the outside, Sushi Ya has all the earmarks of the quaint typical Japanese eatery you saw on YouTube where the likes of Anthony Bourdain would go and immerse themselves in the ‘culture’ so to speak. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by chef and, presumably, his wife and quickly seated at a table. What about the food, you asked?OK, I’ll quit my rambling so here it is:I ordered a 17 piece sashimi platter with a bowl of rice and green tea. The meal started with a complimentary plate of edamame followed with a bowl of miso soup. The sashimi was excellent (see picture below). Will I return? Sure!
