Del Mar is a staple breakfast place for my friends, thus I came here when my parents were in town. We had a solid, delicious breakfast. Home fries are well cooked, eggs and sausage were good. Prices are reasonable. Nothing exceptional, but solid food and worth the effort if you are in the area. Waitress was friendly. Seating is not designed to hold more than 4 people, try not to go in a group.
New to the area so since the parking lot is always full thought I’d try it out on Saturday October 17th. Asked for Eggs Benedict hard, my yolks were very runny. My brother ordered eggs sunny side up they were hard, and the waitress forgot his toast. Made eye contact with her 3 times and ended up getting another waitress to get his toast and to send back my eggs. My husband ordered pancakes and they were burnt. Home fries could of been browner. Got refill coffee but no creamers. When my brother paid the bill he spoke with the manager/owner and the owner didn’t seem to care that we had bad service. No discount, no apology for the mess ups. Won’t be back there again.
Very Disapointing Experience. I had heard so much about Del Mar in London and was very eager to see what all of the hype was about. I was in town for the day and had an hour to eat before business. The staff was disorganized and distracted, it took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table after we had seated ourselves. Following that, we waited over 2 0minutes for our food (omlettes and toast, nothing that should take more than 5 minutes to prepare) only to have the waitress tell us that our food wasn’t made and she would ring in the order again. Pressed for time, we had to leave. We won’t be going again.
The Most Classic and all time favourite diner in london. The Vest Best eggs benedict in town, highly recommended.
WORST BREAKFAST IN LONDON. This was by far the worst experience of service and food I have had ever. Service was horrible, the server barely acknowledged my husband and I, not once were we asked how our food was, maybe she could tell by the look on our faces- I had just regular bacon and eggs and the bacon was micorwaved, my toast burnt. My husband had the steak and eggs steak was flavourless and had plastic fibers on it. Even with our barley touched plates she did not ask how our food was. Instead we still had to pay for this horrible meal. NEVER GOING BACK
Wouldn’t Go Back. Only average food.. not very good, nothing special. Too busy for me and like I said the food really wasn’t any good compared to the other ma and pa places in the area… not even as good as the Malibu… won’t be going back!
It was alright. Service was great and pretty fast. Food was just mediocre, wasn’t really fond of the home potatoes. Dont think I’ll be coming back though.
