I think it is ridiculous they are raising money from the community to open their private for profit business. In the past they were looking for free labour for a failed off premises kitchen. Sustainable for them at the expense of other. I will not be entertaining this business.
Best cozy coffee shop in London. The barista/owners here put a lot of care and thought in to preparing your drinks and food. The seating is a little uncomfortable and the tables a tad too small to hold your drink + laptop if working away, but a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent experience. Ordered a Vietnamese coffee, only to find out the barista learned how to prepare it himself while visiting Vietnam. Also very knowledgeable about coffee beans, roasting and all that jazz. This ain’t just another Starbucks clone.
My Fav coffeee Spot. This is by far The Coolest coffee spot in London And….. the best Food And…… Gluten free choices !
Nice place and friendly service, sure. Quality of product … Not so much. Two lattes , milk burnt for both. It was so hot , I couldn’t drink for half an hour. Unimpressed.
Welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Everything was fair-trade, organic, sustainable or as close to 100% as possible. Picked up some funky recycled t-shirts and valuable information on CETA. Glen’s spanikopita was DE-licious!
Love it!. Dropped in on a wintery afternoon. Warm and cosy atmosphere, didn’t feel rushed, good variety of dishes that I was told are all homemade, great art work on the walls that you can purchase. Discovered they host a lot of different events in the evenings like local musicians, poets and social awareness groups. Signed up for their email newsletter listing what’s on when. Free Wi-Fi, games and magazines and a good and interesting mixture of cliental make this my kind of place. Like that they are not a chain outfit. Prices reasonable for the quality you get. I’ll be back.
Great Space, Super Friendly Service.. I had a chance to pop in for an Americano and a Samosa. I was warmly greeted by the owner behind the bar and was taken by the lovely space he has created with vintage stamped tin, refinished and an eclectic but cohesive style. The cafe has WIFI and seems to be one of the only locally owned/run cafes that can say that. My espresso was weak but that’s my only complaint. Next time I’ll just ask for it how I like it. Between the service and the space that is enough for me to see myself coming back in a lot!
