Loved the food and service. Huge portions and very reasonably priced. It is not fine dinning. It is more of a laid back family dinning. Would recommend dinning here.

Yes cheap, and yes large portions, but food is very mediocre. Hot & sour soup is broth with tofu – very few mushrooms and no other protein. Mongolian beef had a poor quality beef, and the rest was excessive onions, with a sauce that lacked depth and heat.

My goto place for Friday evenings food pickup. Seriously, pick up 2 potions of Yang Chow fried rice, and you’d have enough food for 3 starting Friday night and lunch / dinner Saturday. HUGE potions (used to cost only $10/potion) packed like a bunch of clowns into a Volkswagen. When you unpack the food you’re scratching your head trying to figure out where all that rice came from. The best thing is, the fried rice needs no accompanying dishes, just a bit of Siracha Sauce and that’s it. Sprinkle a bit of water on leftovers, cover and microwave, and you’ve got steaming fresh tasting rice on Saturday. Their side dishes are pretty good too. Specially the hotpot. Well worth a visit, you might be lucky enough to get in. It’s packed most of the time. Sufficient parking available.

Good food, great price, amazing portions. Overall the food was enjoyable and came to our table pretty quickly. The portion sizes were very big and the price was excellent. Our table had the Dim Sum and it seemed like we ordered twice as much as we thought, but the price was still under $20 each

Amazing Food! Huge Portions. In from Calgary to drop my son off at Western to start university. Decided to try some Chinese here in London. Holy cow is all I can say. I’ve NEVER seen portions like this out west. The plate of rice was massive and tasty, and the General chicken was simply the best I’ve ever had and also a huge portion! Those two dishes plus a small soup all for 30 bucks. All fresh ingredients. Are you kidding me? I have enough left over for two more meals! The owner was friendly and welcoming as were the staff. Great job Hong Ping Restaurant…you guys nailed it. Next time I’m in London to visit my son, I’ll be back…with my son! Neil Jobin Calgary Alberta.
