This is probably my favourite vendor in Covent Garden Market! I have the tendency to scope the whole venue for delicious eats but I always end up coming back to the Hot Oven. They only have 4 different menu items (all of them being a special Turkish pastry called a burek) but the owners are very hardworking people who are just burek making machines. If you’re lucky enough to appear right when they put out a fresh baked batch of apple cinnamon bureks…. oh man. They’re hot, flakey, and the filling is just right. Not too salty (for the meat ones) and not too sweet (for the apple ones). You’ll be more than satisfied with the price and if you’re anything like me you’ll walk away from the kiosk with about 5 bureks and they’ll all be gone before you even step foot outside! 18carrotgold.com
