Have gone to this place on and off for about 20 years and found it handy when I worked nearby. Think it used to be known as Irene’s fish and chips but could stand corrected. It’s only fair that this be compared with other fish places like Kipps Lane or Archies to honestly review and there are many others. Their fish compares well with Archies but a little less than Kipps Lane but still good. But then it is all about the different batters and whether fries are fresh cut or how fresh the fish might be. I like this place and recommend it for a good lunch but would not dismiss the equal numbers of fresh fish places in the city. Kipps Lane is still the best in my books.

Great food and great service. We have been going here off and on for years.Recent upgrades have made it more eye appealing. The food is generous and tasty. Breakfast is awesome we get teh big breakfast and its like 9 bucks and you get 3 eggs toast 2 sausages 2 bacon and 2 slices of real ham not that tin end salt packed crap. The staff is always friendly and happy .I give it 10/10 all around

2piece Halibut and Chips. Coleslaw is homemade. Batter fluffy.15 Jan, 2015Grilled Fish Platter. I had grilled basa and this picture doesn’t do it justice. Even the vegetables were grilled.15 Jan, 2015Greek Salad. Authentic and delicious!15 Jan, 2015Delicious, fresh, generous and reasonable. I recently moved close to Irene’s. It is a quaint busy diner serving yummy Greek omelettes, authentic Greek salads, beautiful grilled fish platters and authentic English style fish and chips. They even make their soup from scratch and have a $4.25 breakfast special. Taking my parents tomorrow. They will love it! Super friendly staff. 🙂

My boyfriend and I often come here for breakfast and leave satisfied every time. We decided to give dinner a try and what a treat it was! Fantastic food great staff and very reasonable prices, a true hidden gem of London!

Irene’s-It shouldn’t be a secret. I visited Irene’s yesterday. Small, busy and quick dinette. Ordered the clubhous sandwich with fries, to me the quintessentail diner food (when in Rome). Really, really good for 9$. No apologies from the staff when they’re busy….and nor should they, these are not the lame insincere servers you have to endure when you visit one of the chains in town. Good, honest food cooked up and served by good honest people. Love, love, love!
