Best restaurant in the city hands down in my opinion, the food looks like a work of art and tastes as good as it looks.
Visited Kantina for valentines day and was our first visit. Offered a set four course menu fir 65 dollars a plate. Our experience was exceptional from the monent we walked in. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was perfection. As for the food…amazing, interesting, beautifully presented with tastes I have never experienced. Every course was amazing. We shared tge mezza board to start, beef tartare, beet salad, venison and pasta entrees and chocolate cake and brulee for dessert. Wine offering was unique and diverse. London Ontario is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant…by far the best London has to offer for overall experience and I absolutely recommend you give it a try!
Ambiance is nice. Staff were friendly and genuine. Ingredient quality was obviously very good. However, the entre portions were small and the amount of salt used was so excessive both of our mouths were tingling long after dinner. I can’t say for certain what the entree tasted like as my taste buds were seared with rough salt. We all had similar dishes so it might just be a bit of bad luck. I’ll try it again as everyone in the city seems to love it.
One of the Best in Town. Kantina offers an overall exceptional dining experience.The atmosphere/decor is well thought out; intimate but not overly so.Good use of mirrors/art/decor throughout the resto.The food is exceptional across the board, I can count on one hand the items I HAVE NOT tried, and everything I’ve eaten – including chef specials – has its rightful place on the menu.The service is also superb. Never have I been to this resto, and NOT been served by the owner himself. I’ve been 6 or 7 times so far.Wine list is also carefully chosen, I’ve had 3 different wines, all of which were appeasing. The Merlot is my favorite (to date).My only qualm with this place is that the menu leaves me wanting more, in terms of number of dishes. Like I said, I’ve had almost everything.London lucky to have this gem of an establishment.This is my first resto review, and it is certainly worth a try.
I have been there 3 times and the food is amazing.
Loved it. Real food prepared with skill and care. A kitchen committed to ingredients first, then dishes designed around them. Service was professional. Wine list is fine with decent glasses avail. Go.
FANTASTIC!. I love this restaurant. It’s got an amazing home-y feel and fantastic service. The owner and chef are always welcoming and happy to talk to all of the costumers walking into the restaurant. The food is absolutely wonderful, creative, authentic and delicious! Probably the best in London. Highly recommended!
