Given where this cafe is located you will smell fumes if you sit on the patio and hear the engine noise of planes landing or taking off but this is why one would choose this place. The menu has been changed and the portions are sufficient and tasty. Anytime I’m in London this is my first choice because I love the atmosphere

I have always wanted to go here as it offers a little bit of a sideshow dimension with your meals. The restaurant is located next to the runways of the London airport and affords the diner a view of planes taking off and landing throughout the meal. The well windowed room gives diners a full view from any seat and gives another dimension of a large fair weather patio fronting on the runway. A view is great but the food has to be palpable and we can only report on our breakfast offering which included 2 eggs, home fries, 2 full pieces of toast and coffee. All were good although we would have liked ours a bit warmer. Should call for reservations particularly in good weather as the place becomes populated with flyers taking their planes up. A little hard to find as there is little to no signage. Not advertised very much and most Londoners would not know of its existence. Does a decent business with the Diamond aircraft people and the local flying club. Worth a return visit.

Hidden gem that deserves a visit! Been on the patio in the summer and it is cool to watch the planes take off and land during dinner. Inside during the winter is very cozy and the menu is always top notch. Good craft beers on tap as well. A little out if the way, but definitely worth the drive to find it.

A great place to have lunch while watching aircrafts landing and takeoff. The day I had lunch, the Orange Medivac chopper was training maneuvers. I had the fish and chips platter for lunch, it was quite good but a bit pricey. But the surprise came when I produced my debit card for payment. The debit card transaction was apparently not going through, so I paid by Credit card. Later on the day I was surprised to see that I was double charged, once via the debit card and once again through the credit card. The food was good, but not that good to pay $30+ for fish and chips. 🙂 called the restaurant and had the charges reversed. The place is bit off the beaten track. Sometimes quite deserted. Make reservations to make sure if the restaurant is open, or if it’s full.

Don’t order seafood risotto. Others in our party had chicken and strip loin which were good. I ordered seafood risotto. Risotto was good, can’t say the same for seafood. Didn’t find any crab, calamari was so tough, tasted like rubber. Mussels may have been good but they were buried in puddle of sauce that tasted and looked like cheese wiz. Bad after taste as well. Service was good.

Excellent restaurant. Try to eat there any chance I get when on medevac to London. You have to watch the time its not always open. The steak is excellent. They do a very nice presentation. Vegetables are crisp, and fresh. Professional chefs wearing real chef hats. Its a pleasure to eat there. Waiters are very professional and friendly. There is a selection of interesting choices on the menu. Something for everyone and its all very good. Prices are reasonable for a four five star restaurant. Some of our crew, the MacDonalds crowd doesn’t like eating there so if you’re into fast food don’t go.CptKaj

What a great find! We love this restaurant. The food was fabulous. Our server was amazing; fast, friendly and courteous. Fine dining in a unique environment. I highly recommend it. But, if you’re planning to go on a weekend, call ahead for a table.
