Lotusis one ofa handful of Chinese restaurants in Londonthat I would still, for over 30 years,trust for consistency of the dishes I like. Same owner for over 35 years. Many a Chinese restaurant haslost clienteledue tochanging chefs; who are basically not good at preparing certaindishes. I worked there for over 5 years and always had great food. The owner is an excellent cook/chef. Schezwan beef, chicken broccoli, sweet and sour pork were excellent.
Worst service in my life, extremely rude, asked to make sure chow mien had tones of vegetables, came with absolutely NONE came with just noddle’s and chicken, when call to get a refund or another one made, the OWNER was very rude and hung up on me and told me no worst experience of my life with Chinese food, never ordering from here again sticking to little panda,
This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had with any restaurant in this city…ordered 4 dishes..just under $50 dollars…Guy Ding was at least 1/3 celery…Orange chicken..very close to 1/2 orange peels..who eats those??? Honey Garlic spareribs…very dry and very bland sauce..seemed watered down…only decent thing was the rice. I am so disappointed! Also, peeved to spend my hard earned money on the lowest quality of chinese food I have ever had.

Lazy servers. I’m writing this, in the hopes of bringing to the attention of the owner or manager, that while the service is great most of the time, I have noticed a trend last my last few visits. One server seems to do most of the work, while the other plays with her cellphone. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I find her actions while purporting to be at work, atrocious.I won’t name names, because I feel that the owner should be able to discern when employees are taking advantage of them.P.S. It isn’t the older one.
A London Gem. Lotus Gardens has been around since my husband and I were dating, the food was good then and it still is today! Our favourite, dine in or take out! A New Year’s Eve tradition too! Family owned and they treat their customers like family too! We have never had a bad meal here.
Best Chinese food in London by far. Food is amazing, great prices and the owners are a delight!
