  Haven’t been here for a while and decided to return. Used to be the ‘go to’ place in London as there weren’t too many in that end of the city 15 years ago.A number of foodie reviewers on several sites criticized it for its slowness from entry to exit. That part remains unchanged and while only moderately busy for a Friday afternoon the service was slow but not a concern of ours as we were having a light day but, it would bother most other diners and even us had we been pushed for time. This has to be addressed as it is mentioned too often and the competition for diners today is maniacal.Started out with the nan bread dip into 3 kinds of hummus and found it very tasty. Needed more bread to dip and we were given extra without comment. Will discuss this later.Partner had the Mediterranean salmon salad and really liked it.I had the Crispy Chicken and also found it excellent. We received our bill and after I had paid it discovered that we were billed $3.25 for the extra bread. We were never informed that it would be extra but to our discredit never mentioned it and left knowing we were never charged this fee at other places. It definitely put a damper on a good meal. This should have been mentioned by the server so the diner has a choice.Likeable interior with higher than average food prices. Must pay more attention to customer concerns about slow service and not nickel and dime the diners. Too many better other classy customer oriented places for us to consider returning or recommending it at this time. Unless this might be a sign of a spiral into closing. We definitely won’t be back in the near future unless the reviews turn positive.

  Not worth the money.. Have been twice (no one to blame for the second time but myself, I guess) and both times, have found the food to be bland and overpriced. The food isn’t terrible, there was really nothing to complain about. It was just really boring. You’d think a beef dip with caramelized onions and horseradish mayo would have lots of flavour. You’d think for $14 at lunch, you’d get a reasonable-quality cheese. Wrong on both counts. Hubby had the buffalo chicken burger, and the chicken was pounded so thin that the breading was actually thicker, in some places, than the chicken. There were no condiments whatsoever on the bun. Today, we didn’t see our server for a full 20 minutes after he dropped off our plates. Another server happened by and took our plates, but didn’t ask how our meals were. Coffee was cold, had to flag down our server (again) to get another cup, and no one showed up with a pot to offer refills. Finally went to the bar to ask someone for our bill, and saw our server there, emptying the dishwasher. I mentioned how unhappy we were with how rarely he’d been at our table, and he made an excuse about how busy he’d been (we saw about 4 servers in the restaurant, and about 15 tables were seated). I understand that dishwashers don’t empty themselves, and honestly, if it looks like the servers are really run off of their feet, I can be patient. But this was just plain bad service. And mediocre food.
