This place is pretty disgusting. I once saw a bimbo waitress sitting on a customers lap while he paid his bill. Food is extremely salty because they want to sell their weird tasting drinks. Seriously people it is very very irresponsibly salty and it ruins everything. Burger is salty, salad is salty. Also the portion is not appropriate, i remember getting 6 small dumplings the one time as an entree. Why do i keep on going back? The friends i hangout with go there a lot…
Loved the steak! It was done to perfection. It was a quiet night but the service was a bit slow, but it gave us chance to slow down our pace as we unwind for the day. The best was when they brought out desert for our daughter… vanilla ice cream in dry ice bath.
Moxie’s used to be in 2 locales in London, the casual dining and popular White Oaks area that primarily catered to a lunch crowd with a steady evening crowd, more interested in eating, with casual drinking, and a downtown ocation that more caters to lucrative drinking and the young night life. They chose to close the White Oaks location instead of the alcohol oriented downtown location. Have always had decent meals here and the sandwiches were imaginative and substantial for the cost.Diners who used to visit the White Oaks location were generally not into the bar scene and will not attend the bar like downtown and have to pay high priced parking downtown with security issues. Hopefully Moxie’s will make a return to the burbs.
Came here today with my family and had a lovely three course meal! For starters, we had sushi cones… they were quite delightful and filled with huge prawns! We then ordered a shrimp and lobster linguine, wild mushroom ravioli, seared tuna ginger salad, and a salmon and cobb salad for mains. Everything was spectacular, with the exception of the salmon salad… the iceberg lettuce came cut horizontally in a fashion that made it obvious that it had not been washed during the preparation. For dessert, we concluded the meal with dark chocolate cake, salted caramel and pecan cheesecake, and white chocolate brownie. I personally loved the cheesecake and the brownie was so heavenly too! However, the chocolate cake fell flat and was overly sweet…
Terrible Service. In town to see Concert. Sat in our booth for 10 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Placed drink order plus appetizers and main course. Main course arrived before appetizers. Meal done before server came back. Only saving grace was food was great.
