Needed a quick bite between errands on a Saturday afternoon. Went to the market and picked Nates Grill. Excellent chicken shawarma and salads as well S falafels. Great price, tasty food. Just what we needed to fuel us up for the rest of the errands.
I was about to post a picture of my breakfast that I got here but it was too late because I almost finished it. Yeah, it is that good. What makes the experience is better is the service. The girl, the only one, who works in Saturday morning is a gem. I must say, she is busier than a one armed coat hanger.
I’ve tried to like Nate’s it just always falls short. They have a great a selection of food that all seem good. problem is they are not, it is all very bland and underwhelming. I’ve tried at least 5 different things from the menu and I’m always regretting what I end up with. my last 2 purchases where the kafta plate and the shawarma plate. The kafta was bland and full of spinach the salad was terrible, the rice and hummas saved my lunch. The shawarma was awful I mean truly terrible the chicken looked like shredded chicke out of a can, the rice on this meal was mushy luckily the salad was decent. If you are at the market there are so many places that are better do yourself a favor and dont stop here.
This is my FAVORITE place to eat! I can honestly say that I love pretty much everything they do! And the staff is awesome too. I love that pretty much everything is home/hand made and they take pride in their work, as well as their customers. Great folks at Nates!
Love. The spicy hummus is great. I had a beef shawarma and I will definitely be back again, just for the spicy hummus.
No gluten free bread for breakfast or wraps. Potatoes were undercooked, not a good hash brown Server had an attitude problem. Owner Nate flirted with her so she’ll likely stay. Will not eat here again.
Maybe next time Nate… I work right across the street from the market. I have been recommending Nate’s in the market to my guests for some time based on a few breakfasts I’ve had there. So breakfast is a go, but bacon, eggs and hash brown’s are fairly simple. So I Dropped by the other afternoon at lunchtime craving a shawarma and wasn’t really overly impressed. Massive sized however the chicken was pulled from a container that was already sliced off the spit, it was greasy and very fatty, seasoning was sort of strange. the veggies were kinda mushy except for the turnips which were dry and tasteless, the spicy hummus however was nice but the thing broke all apart before i could finish it, all for 6 bucks ala cart. I’ll recommend the walk to barakat for a tasty shawarma.
